Important Information
for Parents and Employers
Our Babysitting Certificate
of Completion and Wallet Card recognises a student's commitment to gain
the knowledge and skills needed to handle the challenges of babysitting.
It is not a degree or license or accreditation.
If you are interested in getting your Child Care license, most states
require a certain number of hours of child care education. Our course
qualifies for this in many states.
Here is an information page where you can get more information on licensure,
and what each state requires.

What
is this class about? What do you teach? |
 |
Babysittingclass.com
offers a complete course in babysitting, like one you'd find at
a local community center. Our online class teaches babysitters to
be proactive in solving problems and interactive with their charges.
We teach appropriate
activities for different age groups. We give students insights into
child care and discipline. We teach them to support the routines
and values parents have set in place. We cover the Business of Babysitting
and teach students to evaluate and use their gifts and talents in
the Child Care field. Our encyclopedia with over 60 articles discusses
how to care for all kinds of children, including those with special
needs such as ADD, Diabetes and more.
Safety Information
we cover includes: Accident, Choking and Drowning Prevention; Injury
and Poison Prevention; Childproofing an Area, Identifying Suffocation
and Strangulation Hazards; Preventing Cuts, Falls, Fires, Burns;
Establishing Fire Safety Exits, Prevent Bites, Break-ins and Stings
and more.
How does your
class differ from a Community Center class?
At
Babysittingclass.com you get:
1)
Personal Attention
Learning the material in the class is an important first step.
But what happens after the class ends? This is where our class
differs from anyone else's. M-F, we offer Live Help to answer
any questions you have about the class and the course material
via chat or email. It's like having your own personal Babysitting
Instructor ready to help when you need it. You
have a whole year from your date of registration to access the latest
online course material and use our Live Help feature. That continuing
personal attention is something local classes usually can't offer.
2)
Our Class is Only A Click Away
The course material is online 24/7, so you can fit the class around
your schedule. You can leave and come back, start and stop or review
what you've learned whenever you like.
3)
A Yearlong Pass
From the time you register, you have a whole year to access
our site. That yearlong pass is like having a class that updates
itself all the time with the very latest safety info.
4)
Up to Date Materials and Chapter Notes
Chapters, encyclopedia and testing material are reviewed quarterly.
At the end of each chapter, there are notes for you to download
so you can make and take your own "babysitting journal"
of suggestions out on jobs.
5) Designed
By Real Babysitters
The safety, security and business problems sitters face today change
constantly. That's why our online materials are so frequently updated.
We're the only course with material designed with the input of over
200 working babysitters.Find
out more about who created this class and why right here.
6)
Access to the Babysitter's Encyclopedia:
from A-Z, this encyclopedia is all about hands on solutions to problems
that a Babysitter may face. New articles are added all the time!

Is
this an official class? Who certifies you? |
 |
We
are a program provider for many Girl Scout Councils and the Cities
of Oceanside and Vista, in California.
That
means our certificate program has been approved by their program
departments, reviewed by nurses, EMTs, and public safety educators.
Our
class also meets the education requirements for some states for
Child Care workers. You can find out the requirements
for Day Care and Child Care workers in each state here.
Our
class does not cover CPR or First Aid Training. We do have a separate
course that supplements our Babysitting Class material. We are affiliates
of Safetycampus.com where students can take
CPR and First Aid online.
