My
yearly pass is ending. I really love your Encyclopedia and all the
class notes. Is there any way to extend my membership? |
 |
Yes! You can
renew your pass. You can test yourself again and get a new certificate
and wallet card. It's a good idea to do this every year. There's
always new safety, security and chidcare tips to learn. To
renew, just click here to get started. It's the same low price:
$17.50 per year.

 |
How
old must I be to take the class and babysit? |
 |
We
have no age restriction on taking our course. We recommend our class
for 11-17 year olds, and we've had students older who've enjoyed our
course.
The legal age to babysit is different in every city. Please ask your
police department or child protective services for this information
and decide how old you would like to be when you take this class. |
| |
 |
My
registration codes don't work. |
 |
If
you are using AOL, please be sure to replace your screen name with
the number we give you. You cannot enter the class using your screen
name.
Also, you must register for the class before you can begin classes.
Please go to the register button on any page of our site and click
on it. Fill in the registration information with the name of the
student who is taking the class. This allows us to send you your
certificate, and it activates your pass to the class. |
| |
 |
I
am clicking on "Start Class" and my registration number
doesn't work? |
 |
You
must register for the class before you can begin classes. Please
go to the register button on any page of our site and click on it.
Fill in the registration information. This allows us to send you
your certificate, and it activates your pass to the class. |
| |
 |
I am clicking on "Register" and my registration number doesn't
work? |
 |
Did
you cut and paste your information from an e-mail program? If yes,
place your cursor to the right side of the last number or letter
of your verification code and press "delete" on your keyboard.
This will get rid of any invisible characters generated by your
email program. Now hit "enter". |
| |
 |
When
I fill out the credit card information, whose name should I use? Mine
or the student's? |
 |
Please
input the name of the cardholder when you sign up. You will have
an opportunity to change that name to the student's name at registration. |
| |
 |
On
my browser, when I click START CLASS or REGISTER the entry box says
Username and Passcode. Where do I fill in the Registration number
and Verification Code I got from your e-mail? |
 |
Please
input your registration number where it says "Username".
Please input your verification code where it says "Passcode".
Unfortunately, these are standard on browsers and we have no way
of changing these boxes to match our system. We're sorry for any
confusion. |
|
 |
I paid, but I clicked past the page that had my entry codes on it
when I signed up. Then I didn't get an e-mail back. What happened?
What do I do next? |
 |
If
there's a typo in your e-mail address, or your e-mail box is full,
we won't be able to send you a passcode. Please contact us here
at Customer Service via e-mail by clicking
here. We ask for you to write us via e-mail so we'll have a
correct address for you. Give us your first and last name, how you
signed up (credit or mail). We'll look up your record and re-send
you the information. |
|
 |
Help!
I signed up and I didn't get a passcode! |
 |
Usually the
problem is either a typo in your email address file, or your email
file is full so we can't send you your passcode, or the mail box
has a parental control on it that doesn't allow mail from babysittingclass.com
Please send an email to: customerservice@babysittingclass.com.
Include your phone number so we can contact you if we have a question.
|
|
 |
What
is the order of the class? |
 |
Please
go through classes 1-6 in order, beginning with #1, Childcare Basics,
and ending with 6, Beyond Babysitting. Be sure to take the quizzes.
They're fun, and they'll help you later when you take the test.
|
|
 |
Do
I have to look at all the classes in one sitting? |
 |
No,
students can leave each class and come back to it whenever their
schedule allows. Quiz scores in the lessons are not stored or tallied. |
|
 |
How
do students take the test? |
 |
After
a student has finished all six classes, we invite them to go to
the Babysitters Class Menu and click on the "Test" button.
Students have one year from registration to review each topic and
take the test as many times as they need to pass. |
|
 |
What
if students miss questions on the quizzes and test? |
 |
Our
quizzes and test are stress free because if a student misses a question,
they get immediate feedback. If a student doesn't pass the final
test, they also get immediate feedback about what they need to study.
Students have up to a year to retake the test and pass it. |
|
 |
I
loved the class. Do you offer first aid or CPR training that complements
this course?
|
 |
Yes! We are
an affiliate of Safety
Campus.com. They have an excellent online First Aid and CPR
certification course that complements our class! You can do your
CPR coursework online and then go into a testing center to do the
"dummy" breathing part of the class. For more information,

|
 |
How
do students get their personalized certificate and business kit? |
 |
We
ask each student to REGISTER at the beginning. That tells us the
student's name and mailing address. As soon as a student has taken
the test and passed it, our program automatically alerts Customer
Service to send them their personalized Babysitter's Certificate
and Business Kit to the name and address given to us upon class
registration. Students usually receive their kit within a week after
passing their test.
In the rare event that a student does not receive their kit, or
there is a problem of any kind, we ask them to send an email that
contains their first and last name and registration information
to customerservice@babysittingclass.com. |
|
 |
What
browser should students use for the best experience? |
 |
This
class and the Babysitter's Business Kit was designed with the input
of over 200 babysitters and built by the e-training professionals
at Cybercat Consulting. It runs best using Internet Explorer. For
best results, students will need: Internet access with a 28.8 or
faster modem. Internet Explorer 5.0 and above - available FREE for
download - or AOL 5.0 and above.
Note: Using AOL? For best results download that free copy of Internet
Explorer. Students will probably have to resize their computer screen
size to 1024 X 760 so that you can see all the content. |
|
 |
What
is your Babysitting Encyclopedia all about? Can you give me a sample
list of topics you cover? |
 |
Yes! From A-Z, our online Babysitting Encyclopedia is all about
hands on situations that a Babysitter may face. In each article,
a babysitter describes the topic and gives suggestions about what
to do to handle that situation.
Your pass to the class gives you access to the encyclopedia and
our Live Help for a year from your date of registration. We add
new articles all the time. Here is the list of Article Titles and
